As part of this commitment, we do not charge our business clients for:
- Telephone calls to discuss new business matters
- Meetings at their place of business to better understand their needs
- Giving them the ongoing direction they need to move their business forward
These are just a few examples of the value our clients have received by calling us first before making important decisions:
- Contracts: Before a real estate investment client of ours entered into a lease agreement with an advertising company
for sign space on our client's building, they spoke to us first. We advised them to have the advertising company assure our client
that they could obtain the government permits required to erect the sign on our client's building. The brief conversation resulted
in our client saving at least $3,000.00 in fees and expenses (and their valuable time!). As it turned out, the advertising company
could not assure our client that it would be able to get the necessary permits to erect the sign.
- Real Estate: Two clients retained us to purchase a new residential builder home. One of these two clients called us
first before they signed the agreement with the builder. As a result, we negotiated that our client not pay a special levy to
the builder as part of the deal. That saved our client several thousand dollars. The client that didn't call us and signed the
contract had to pay the special levy.
- Estate Administration: Our client came to us with a unique problem. He owned land in partnership with his father.
However, when his father died, the land was not transferred over into the mother's name; when our client's mother died, the
land was not transferred into our client's name as he was beneficially entitled to the land. Our client (and his two previous
professional advisors) was unable to transfer title of the land into his name. After speaking with us, we were able to locate the
people and documentation needed to transfer the land and we negotiated the registration of special documentation with the government
land registry office. This resulted in our client taking title to the land into his own name. Now our client can sell the land and
potentially save himself thousands of dollars in additional fees and expenses.
